Do not leave the MCLR pin floating - tie it to VDD through a 10 kohm resistor to enable normal operation. If programming in-circuit, add a series resistor and Schottky diode to MCLR per Microchip's ICSP design notes. Do not exceed the 5.5V absolute maximum on any pin or you will damage the part. When migrating from PIC16F1934 firmware, verify that the larger RAM and flash layout do not break any hard-coded memory addresses in your linker script.
