XDPP1148100BXUMA1

XDPP1148100BXUMA1 - 100MHz Digital Power Controller | Infineon

The Infineon XDPP1148100BXUMA1 is a digital power supply controller based on a 100 MHz Arm Cortex-M0 core, integrating firmware-programmable control loops for advanced DC-DC and LLC converter topologies. It is offered in a 24-pin PG-VQFN-24-20 package with 4x4 mm footprint and operates from a 2.97V to 3.63V digital supply. The device is designed for high-density AI server, telecom, and 48V bus power applications where firmware-flexible digital control replaces analog PWM controller ICs. A digital power controller is an IC that executes firmware-defined control algorithms - including PID compensation, adaptive dead-time, light-load burst mode, and telemetry - in software rather than analog hardware. Architecturally it sits between the analog power stage (MOSFETs, magnetics, current shunt) and the system management controller, communicating via PMBus, I2C, or UART. The hierarchy is: power management IC -> DC-DC controller -> digital power controller. Compared to analog controllers, digital controllers deliver faster transient response, parametric tuning without hardware changes, and per-unit telemetry that improves system-level observability. Key features include the 100 MHz Cortex-M0 compute core with on-chip non-volatile firmware memory, integrated MOSFET drivers supporting hard-switched and resonant LLC topologies, adaptive dead-time and burst-mode control, and PMBus/I2C control interfaces. The 24-pin VQFN-EP package exposes multiple analog sense inputs (VOUT, ISENSE, temperature) and high-resolution digital PWMs. The XDPP1148100BXUMA1 is typically deployed as the master controller in multi-phase buck, interleaved totem-pole PFC, and full-bridge LLC stages powering 48V-to-PoL conversion in hyperscale data centers. The firmware-defined control law lets one IC cover many topologies and rails without analog IC respins. Design consideration: validate the firmware-programmed current sense gain against the actual DCR/shunt tolerance of the power stage, and respect the VQFN-EP thermal pad layout pattern (a 4x4 array of thermal vias under the EP) to keep junction temperature within the 125C operating limit. This page synthesizes distributor pricing, drop-in alternative analysis, and practical layout notes that are not aggregated in the manufacturer datasheet.

XL4015

XL4015 - 5A 36V 180kHz Buck Converter | XLSEMI

XLSEMI XL4015 is a 5 A, 36 V fixed-frequency PWM buck step-down DC/DC converter operating at 180 kHz, with low output ripple and line-and-load regulation. The verified manufacturer description identifies internal frequency compensation, a fixed-frequency oscillator, and a requirement for only a minimal number of external components. Those characteristics place the XL4015 in the buck converter hierarchy: DC/DC converter → step-down regulator → switching voltage regulator → power-management semiconductor. The XL4015 is commonly used to reduce a higher DC input to a lower adjustable output. Verified application information identifies 12 V to 3.3 V, 12 V to 5 V, 24 V to 5 V, 24 V to 12 V, and 36 V to 24 V conversions. Its 180 kHz switching frequency supports a compact implementation, while the 5 A load capability makes it more suitable for higher-demand LED, charger, motor-control, and small-heater circuits than low-current regulator modules. The fixed-frequency PWM architecture provides predictable switching behavior and internal compensation, reducing the number of control-loop components required. High efficiency and low ripple are stated advantages, while excellent line and load regulation support stable operation as input voltage or output load changes. The available verified data does not provide exact efficiency curves, ripple limits, feedback voltage, compensation values, or thermal resistance, so those parameters are not inferred here. Typical use includes adjustable DC supplies, lithium-ion and lithium-polymer charging systems, LED lighting, motor control, and small heaters. The adjustable-output architecture allows the same converter family to address several industrial and embedded power rails, provided the input voltage, output current, inductor, diode, capacitors, and thermal conditions remain within the manufacturer’s limits. Designers should treat the XL4015 as a switching regulator rather than a linear regulator: its output filter, compensation network, power loop, and current capability determine transient performance. Place the switching loop and high-current paths compactly, provide the recommended external components from the datasheet, and verify ripple and temperature under the worst-case load. The 5 A rating is a capability statement, not a guarantee that every module or layout can dissipate heat safely. This product page consolidates verified XL4015 specifications, source links, application examples, and the available cross-reference result. It also distinguishes the target IC from generic XL4015 modules, whose board layout, thermal performance, and electrical limits may differ from the manufacturer device.

XL4015E1

XL4015E1 - 5A 36V 180kHz Buck DC/DC Converter | XLSEMI

The XLSEMI XL4015E1 is a 180 kHz fixed-frequency PWM buck (step-down) DC/DC converter housed in a TO-263-5 (TO263-5L) surface-mount package with an integrated power MOSFET. It delivers up to 5 A continuous load current from an 8 V to 36 V input rail, producing an adjustable output of 1.25 V to 32 V with up to 96% conversion efficiency, making it a workhorse for cost-sensitive point-of-load applications. A buck (step-down) DC/DC converter is a switch-mode power supply (SMPS) topology that uses a high-side switch, an inductor, and a capacitor to convert a higher DC input voltage into a lower regulated DC output voltage. Unlike a linear regulator, which dissipates excess voltage as heat, a buck converter stores energy in the inductor during the switch ON-time and releases it to the load during the OFF-time, achieving dramatically higher efficiency. Within the broader hierarchy, the XL4015E1 belongs to the family of integrated asynchronous buck regulators that include internal frequency compensation, a fixed-frequency PWM controller, and a power switch on a single die. Key features include a wide 8 V to 36 V input range, internally fixed 180 kHz switching frequency that balances efficiency against external L/C size, low standby current around 5 mA, internal frequency compensation that minimizes external parts, and built-in thermal shutdown and current-limit protection. The TO-263-5L (DPAK-style) package exposes the die tab for low thermal resistance when soldered to a copper pad. The architecture is a classic voltage-mode PWM controller driving an integrated N-channel MOSFET, with feedback sampling from the output via an external resistor divider. Switching at a fixed 180 kHz keeps the fundamental and harmonics away from the AM broadcast band, simplifying EMI filtering in automotive and consumer audio/video products. Efficiency peaks around 90-96% at moderate load and moderate VIN-VOUT delta; efficiency drops at very low or very high duty cycles, which is typical for asynchronous buck converters. Typical applications include 12 V / 24 V lead-acid battery step-down to 5 V or 3.3 V rails for automotive accessories, USB chargers, solar MPPT pre-regulators, LED drivers, and DIY/hobby lab power supplies. The 5-pin footprint is dimensionally similar to LM2596 but with subtly different pin functions, so any second-source design must re-verify the pinout before board layout reuse. When designing with this part, place the input ceramic bypass capacitor and the freewheeling diode as close as possible to the IC, use an inductor with low DC resistance and adequate saturation current (≥ 5 A), and provide at least 1 square inch of copper pad area under the exposed tab to keep the junction within the 125 C limit. This page synthesizes distributor pricing, verified drop-in alternatives, and practical design notes not collected on the manufacturer datasheet alone, giving engineers a single decision-ready reference.

XL4016

XL4016 - 12A 180kHz 40V Buck Converter | XLSEMI

The XLSEMI XL4016 is a fixed-frequency PWM buck DC-DC converter capable of driving a 12 A load from a 40 V-class input, with a 180 kHz switching frequency and an adjustable step-down output. It is supplied in a 5-pin package and uses internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator to simplify external circuitry. The verified manufacturer description emphasizes high efficiency, low ripple, and good line and load regulation. Some distributor records identify the device as an 8 A converter, so the applicable current limit must be confirmed against the manufacturer datasheet and the thermal design. A buck converter is a switching voltage-regulator category that converts a higher input voltage into a lower output voltage by repeatedly switching an inductor, diode, capacitor, and control loop. The XL4016 belongs to the DC-DC converter and power-management IC hierarchy and is suitable for equipment requiring a regulated intermediate rail from a higher-voltage supply. Its fixed 180 kHz PWM operation provides a defined switching point for component selection and electromagnetic-layout planning. Key features include a 180 kHz fixed-frequency PWM control scheme, internal frequency compensation, low external-component count, and support for a nominal 12 A load according to the manufacturer datasheet description. The converter is designed for step-down operation and is intended to provide good line and load regulation. Because the verified source set contains conflicting 8 A and 12 A descriptions, the target current rating must be treated as source-dependent and checked against the exact manufacturer PDF before production release. The XL4016's architecture is appropriate for high-current DC distribution where the input is above the desired output voltage. Designers should select the inductor, catch diode or synchronous switching arrangement, input capacitor, output capacitor, and feedback divider according to the manufacturer recommendations. The fixed-frequency architecture simplifies control-loop compensation, while PCB inductance and switching-node layout remain critical at high current. Typical applications include 12 V to 5 V or 12 V to 3.3 V conversion, laboratory and workshop power supplies, LED drivers, battery-charging systems, 24 V industrial rails, and embedded DC-DC modules. The converter's high-current capability can reduce the number of parallel stages in a power tree, subject to package heating and available copper area. A primary design consideration is thermal management. Estimated power loss must be checked at the actual input voltage, output voltage, switching frequency, output current, efficiency curve, diode forward drop, inductor resistance, and ambient temperature. Do not rely only on the nominal 12 A headline; validate current capability with the manufacturer electrical characteristics and PCB thermal constraints. This product page synthesizes the verified manufacturer description, datasheet links, application guidance, and strict data-quality notes. It distinguishes verified facts from unresolved current-rating and packaging information rather than inventing missing specifications. Use the official XL4016 datasheet as the controlling reference during schematic capture, PCB design, qualification, and production purchasing.

XL6009

XL6009 - 400kHz 60V 4A Boost/Buck-Boost/Inverting DC/DC Converter | XLSEMI

The XLSEMI XL6009 is a 400kHz, 60V, 4A switching current boost / buck-boost / inverting DC/DC converter housed in a TO263-5L (DPAK-style) surface-mount package. The XL6009 uses a fixed-frequency current-mode architecture with a built-in N-channel power MOSFET, accepts a wide 3V to 32V input range, and is configurable as a boost, flyback, SEPIC, or inverting converter, with adjustable output up to 60V at up to 4A of switch current per the manufacturer datasheet. What is a boost DC/DC converter? A boost (step-up) DC/DC converter is a switching power supply topology that raises a lower input voltage to a higher, regulated output voltage using an inductor, a power switch, a diode, and output capacitance. It sits within the SMPS (switched-mode power supply) family, alongside buck (step-down) and buck-boost (step-up/step-down) topologies, and belongs to the broader class of PMIC (power management IC) devices used whenever a system rail must be generated locally from a non-regulated source. Key features include a 400kHz fixed switching frequency that allows the use of small external inductors and capacitors, 4A internal switch current capability, an internal 60V N-MOSFET, current-mode control for simple loop compensation, and thermal-shutdown protection. The XL6009's wide input range makes it popular for battery-powered, automotive, solar, and industrial applications where upstream rails vary substantially. The XL6009's current-mode control provides cycle-by-cycle current limiting, inherent input-voltage feed-forward, and a simplified single-loop compensation strategy versus older voltage-mode designs. The high-side drive and 60V switch rating let the IC tolerate harsh load-dump transients seen in automotive systems without external protection components. Typical applications include boost converters from 3-32V to 5-35V (the ubiquitous XL6009 module), buck-boost adapters for solar/battery systems, negative-voltage bias supplies for op-amps and LCDs, SEPIC converters for LED driver front-ends, and high-current point-of-load rails in industrial controls and hobby electronics. When designing with this device, choose an inductor rated for at least 4A saturation current and COUT/RC filter sized for the actual switching frequency (400kHz). The feedback resistor divider must use 1% parts to maintain set-point accuracy, and the IC's exposed pad should be soldered to a copper pour for thermal dissipation at full load. This page synthesizes distributor pricing, drop-in alternatives from the same TO263-5L family, and practical design notes not found on stock datasheet portals.

XRP7714ILBTR-SN01-F

XRP7714ILBTR-SN01-F - 4-Ch Digital PWM Controller w/ LDO | MaxLinear

The MaxLinear XRP7714ILBTR-SN01-F is a programmable quad-output digital PWM step-down DC/DC controller with an integrated standby LDO and configurable GPIO, housed in a 40-pin TQFN-EP (6x6 mm) package. The part integrates four synchronous buck channels and one linear regulator (LDO) channel, programmable through the I2C serial interface across an output voltage range of 0.9 V to 5.1 V per rail without external resistor dividers. A digital PMIC is a power management integrated circuit whose regulation loops, switching frequency, output voltage setpoints, protection thresholds, sequencing and timing are configured in firmware or non-volatile memory rather than by external analog component selection. The XRP7714 family sits in the hierarchy: PMIC > multi-output controller > digital PWM buck controller > power management IC for SoC systems, and replaces a board that would otherwise need several discrete switching controllers, an LDO, sequencers and supervisors. Key features include a 4.75 V to 25 V input range, programmable switching frequency from 300 kHz to 1.5 MHz, integrated MOSFET drivers for synchronous buck stages, 6 GPIO/ENABLE pins with 3.3 V CMOS logic (5 V tolerant), and full on-chip protection (over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, and thermal shutdown). Each rail is independently programmable for soft-start, ramp rate, sequencing and fault response, which makes the IC attractive as a one-chip power tree for FPGAs, DSPs and microprocessors. The architecture is built on four independent Digital Pulse-Width Modulator (DPWM) channels with per-channel current-mode control loops, an internal reference and a precision LDO for standby/auxiliary rails. The integrated drivers and small 40-pin TQFN-EP footprint allow a 4-rail + LDO solution in roughly 25 mm x 25 mm of board area including passives, materially smaller than an equivalent analog implementation. Typical applications are FPGA/SoC core and IO rails, networking and telecom boards, industrial controllers and embedded computing platforms where sequencing, monitoring and a small BOM matter more than absolute conversion efficiency. Designers choose this controller when rails must be re-configurable across SKUs or when a single PMIC replaces several discrete regulators. When designing with this part, follow MaxLinear reference design guidance for output LC selection at the chosen switching frequency, place the IC on a thermally adequate copper pour, and use the GUI / I2C tools to program default output voltages and fault thresholds. The SN01-F suffix denotes a specific factory configuration and NVM image; verify the default output setpoints against the system requirements before re-programming in production. This page combines verified distributor pricing, MaxLinear datasheet parameters, drop-in alternatives and practical design notes not gathered in any single manufacturer document, giving engineers a faster path from selection to qualified BOM.

ZXGD3009DYTA

ZXGD3009DYTA - 40V 1A Low-Side Gate Driver SOT-363 | Diodes Inc

The Diodes Incorporated ZXGD3009DYTA is a 40V, 1A low-side non-inverting gate driver IC housed in a 6-pin SOT-363 (SC-88) surface-mount package, designed to switch MOSFETs rapidly in high-current power-conversion stages. The device is a high-gain emitter-follower buffer that delivers typically 500 mA into a low-impedance MOSFET gate from only 10 mA of input drive current, and it provides separate source and sink outputs so turn-on and turn-off transitions can be tuned independently with external resistors. A gate driver is a specialized buffer/amplifier placed between a low-power controller (MCU, PWM IC, gate-driver logic output) and the gate of a power MOSFET, IGBT, or GaN transistor. Without such a buffer, the controller output cannot source or sink enough instantaneous current to charge and discharge the gate's Miller capacitance quickly, resulting in slow edges and high switching loss. Gate drivers sit in the broader hierarchy: gate driver -> MOSFET/IGBT driver -> power management IC -> semiconductor. Key specifications of the ZXGD3009DYTA include a wide VCC range that minimizes on-state losses, near-zero quiescent current, an emitter-follower output topology that is rugged against latch-up and shoot-through, and an optimized SOT-363 pin-out that simplifies PCB layout and reduces parasitic trace inductance. The separate Q1 (source) and Q2 (sink) outputs let the designer program asymmetric rise and fall times for EMI control or for paralleled-MOSFET sharing. The ZXGD3009DYTA's emitter-follower architecture is intrinsically simple and tolerant of wide supply rails; it avoids the cross-conduction concerns of totem-pole CMOS drivers. It is commonly used as a low-side switch driver in DC-DC converters, motor-control half-bridges, hot-swap controllers, solenoid and relay drivers, and class-D audio output stages where gate-charge slew control is critical. Typical applications include PFC boost stages, synchronous-rectifier drivers in SMPS, and high-current load switches in industrial and telecom power systems. By tailoring source and sink resistors the designer can deliberately slow the turn-on edge to control ringing or speed up the turn-off edge to minimize dead time. When designing with this part, place the gate-drive resistors as close to the Q1/Q2 pins as possible and keep the high-current gate loop area minimal to suppress parasitic inductance. Verify that the controller's logic output can swing within the driver's input common-mode range, and add a small base resistor on the input if the source impedance is too low to set a defined input current. This page synthesizes distributor pricing, drop-in alternatives, and practical design notes not found in the manufacturer datasheet.

ZXMS6004DN8-13

ZXMS6004DN8-13 - Dual 60V 1.3A Self-Protected N-FET IntelliFET | Diodes Inc

The Diodes Incorporated ZXMS6004DN8-13 is a dual self-protected low-side N-channel MOSFET IntelliFET with logic-level input, housed in an 8-pin SO (SO-8) package. Each of the two integrated FETs is rated at 60 V drain-to-source, 1.3 A continuous drain current, and a typical on-resistance of 0.5 ohm, providing robust switching for inductive loads driven by 3.3 V or 5 V microcontrollers. The device integrates over-temperature, over-current, over-voltage (active clamp), and ESD protection on the logic-level input, replacing a discrete MOSFET plus Zener-Diac clamp with a single 8-pin IC. An IntelliFET (Intelligent FET) is a self-protected low-side power switch that combines an N-channel enhancement-mode MOSFET with on-chip protection circuits in one package. It belongs to the smart power switch family within power-management semiconductors, sitting hierarchically above discrete MOSFETs but below fully featured half-bridge motor drivers. The "self-protected" attribute means the IC can survive common fault conditions (short to battery, short to ground, inductive flyback, ESD strikes) without external TVS diodes or sense resistors, simplifying PCB design in harsh automotive and industrial environments. Key features include dual independent 60 V / 1.3 A channels, 0.5 ohm typical RDS(on) at VGS=5 V, integrated active clamp at 60 V, 120 mJ avalanche energy rating, over-temperature shutdown, over-current limiting, and 8 kV HBM ESD protection on the input pin. The logic-level gate is driven directly from a 3.3 V or 5 V GPIO without requiring a gate driver, which is essential for low-pin-count microcontrollers. The SO-8 package provides a thermal resistance of approximately 80 C/W (per datasheet) and operates from -40 C to +125 C junction temperature. Architecturally, each channel consists of a vertical N-channel DMOS output stage plus a protection state machine that monitors drain current, junction temperature, and drain-source voltage. The active clamp limits VDS to 60 V during inductive turn-off, allowing direct driving of solenoids, relays, and small DC motors without freewheeling diodes. The two channels share only the package and ground pins, enabling independent PWM control of two loads with separate diagnostic capability. Typical applications include 12 V automotive lamp and LED driver circuits, solenoid and valve drivers in HVAC and industrial controls, relay replacement in PLCs, small brushed DC motor drivers in robotics and white goods, and general low-side switching from microcontroller I/O. The wide 60 V rating also tolerates 24 V industrial bus transients. When designing with this device, ensure the total power dissipation (I2 * RDS(on) per channel plus switching losses) does not exceed the SO-8 thermal budget. For continuous 1 A loads on both channels simultaneously, a 1 oz copper pour of at least 100 mm^2 connected to the SO-8 thermal pad area is recommended. The two channels are not internally bonded; each gate must be driven independently. This page synthesizes distributor pricing, drop-in alternatives, and practical design notes not found in the manufacturer datasheet alone.
