TP2274 概要

The 3PEAK TP2274 is a quad-channel, 36-V CMOS operational amplifier featuring EMI hardening (EMIRR of 84 dB at 900 MHz), 7-MHz gain-bandwidth product, 20-V/μs slew rate, and rail-to-rail output (RRO) swing in a 14-pin SOIC package. It operates from a single 2.7 V to 36 V supply (or dual ±1.35 V to ±18 V) and is unity-gain stable driving up to 100 pF of capacitive load, making it suitable for I/V converters, active filters, and transducer front-ends.

A CMOS operational amplifier is a high-gain DC-coupled differential amplifier built on a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor process. CMOS op-amps combine low input bias current (sub-pA to pA range), rail-to-rail output capability, and low quiescent current, and they form a hypernym hierarchy of linear IC -> amplifier IC -> operational amplifier -> CMOS op-amp. The TP2274 family (TP2271 single, TP2272 dual, TP2274 quad) is targeted at precision, low-voltage applications where EMI immunity is required, replacing general-purpose bipolar parts in noise-dense environments such as industrial sensor conditioning and motor-drive boards.

Key features include a typical input offset voltage (Vos) of 1 mV maximum, 19 nV/√Hz input voltage noise density at 1 kHz, 126 dB open-loop DC gain (AOL), 80 mA short-circuit output current, and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C. The TP2274 also offers 2 µV/°C offset drift and 900 µA typical quiescent current per amplifier, balancing speed with low power consumption for portable instrumentation.

Internally, the TP2274 uses a CMOS input stage with an EMI-hardened front end and a class-AB output stage for rail-to-rail swing. Its 7-MHz GBW and 20-V/μs slew rate are tuned for medium-speed signal-chain applications rather than high-precision instrumentation, and the 84 dB EMIRR at 900 MHz allows the amplifier to reject RF interference from nearby switching regulators and wireless modules without rectification-induced DC errors.

Typical applications include current-sensing I/V converters, multi-channel sensor signal conditioning, active filters in audio front-ends, and general-purpose signal amplification in industrial, automotive, and consumer systems. A common companion part is a high-precision ADC such as the ADS1256 for downstream digitization, or a low-dropout regulator to feed the analog supply rail.

When designing with this device, keep input and feedback traces short to preserve the 7-MHz bandwidth and minimize parasitic capacitance, and add a small series resistor (10-50 Ω) at the output when driving more than a few hundred picofarads. Use a stable, low-noise supply on the analog rail to fully exploit the EMIRR figure.

主な用途

TP2274 の用途: 7 件s: Multi-Channel Sensor Signal Conditioning, Current-Sensing I/V Converters, Active Audio Filters and Crossover Networks, Automotive Sensor and ECU Signal Chains, Photodiode and Photovoltaic Transimpedance Amplifiers, Industrial Process Control and PLC Analog Modules, Portable Battery-Powered Instrumentation.

🏭

Multi-Channel Sensor Signal Conditioning

The TP2274 is well suited to four-channel sensor signal conditioning for industrial and IoT front-ends, where its 36-V supply tolerance accepts 24-V industrial rails without additional protection. Each of the four channels delivers 19 nV/√Hz input noise and 1 mV max Vos, allowing direct conditioning of strain gauges, thermocouples, and 4-20 mA loops with minimal downstream filtering. With 84 dB EMIRR at 900 MHz, the amplifier maintains accuracy even when co-located with wireless modules or switching converters on the same PCB. Designers typically use the first two channels for instrumentation amplification and the remaining two for active filtering before a 16-bit SAR ADC such as ADS1256.

⚡

Current-Sensing I/V Converters

The TP2274's 7-MHz gain-bandwidth product and 20-V/µs slew rate make it a strong choice for current-sensing I/V converters in motor-drive and power-supply feedback loops. Each channel can convert a 0-50 mA sense current into a 0-5 V output through a low-side shunt resistor, supporting 100 kHz+ PWM-edge bandwidth without slew-induced distortion. The 80 mA short-circuit output current directly drives opto-isolators or ADC reference inputs without an additional buffer, while the rail-to-rail output swing maximizes dynamic range on 3.3 V or 5 V analog rails. Compared with the older TP2271 single-channel part, the quad TP2274 allows four simultaneous shunt measurements in a single IC.

🎧

Active Audio Filters and Crossover Networks

With 7-MHz bandwidth and rail-to-rail output swing, the TP2274 is well suited to active audio filter implementations such as Sallen-Key low-pass, high-pass, and multi-pole bandpass stages in crossover networks. The 19 nV/√Hz noise density is low enough for 16-bit audio paths, and the 84 dB EMIRR at 900 MHz keeps cellular and Bluetooth interference from corrupting audio quality. A typical application uses two TP2274 channels per channel of audio to implement 2nd and 3rd-order Butterworth filters below 50 kHz. The part's 80 mA drive capability allows direct headphone-line driving after a final gain stage, eliminating the need for a separate line driver.

🚗

Automotive Sensor and ECU Signal Chains

The TP2274's -40 °C to +125 °C operating temperature range and 36-V supply tolerance target automotive ECU signal-chain designs that must survive load-dump transients and battery cranking dips. Each of the four channels provides 19 nV/√Hz noise and 1 mV max Vos, sufficient for 0-5 V analog sensor inputs from MAP, MAF, and oxygen sensors. The 84 dB EMIRR at 900 MHz rejects AM/FM and cellular RF energy that is present throughout the vehicle chassis, reducing rectification-induced DC errors that would otherwise drift the signal chain. The TP2274-SO2R tape-and-reel variant supports high-volume automotive assembly lines.

📷

Photodiode and Photovoltaic Transimpedance Amplifiers

The TP2274's low input bias current (sub-pA typical) and 7-MHz bandwidth make it a viable transimpedance amplifier for photodiode and photovoltaic front-ends in instrumentation and light-metering designs. Each channel supports gains from 10 kΩ to 1 MΩ feedback resistors with stable operation into 100 pF of photodiode-plus-PCB capacitance, thanks to its unity-gain-stable design. The rail-to-rail output maximizes dynamic range when measuring both bright sunlight (mA-level photocurrents) and low-light conditions (nA-level) on the same rail. A typical 4-channel implementation handles red/green/blue plus clear photodiodes for a color sensor.

🌐

Industrial Process Control and PLC Analog Modules

In industrial process control and PLC analog modules, the TP2274 provides four independent op-amp channels that tolerate 24-V field wiring while delivering accurate low-level signal amplification. Each channel handles ±10 V industrial signals via the 36-V supply headroom and offers 19 nV/√Hz input noise for 16-bit measurement resolution. The 84 dB EMIRR rating suppresses RF interference from VFD motor drives and switching relays commonly found on factory floors. A typical 8-channel module pairs two TP2274 ICs for 8 differential inputs feeding an ADS1256 ADC, with the TP2274 channels providing both level shifting and anti-aliasing first-order filtering.

📱

Portable Battery-Powered Instrumentation

Although the TP2274's 900 µA-per-channel quiescent current is higher than nanopower op-amps, its 36-V supply range and rail-to-rail output make it useful in portable instrumentation running from 2.7 V Li-ion battery rails. Each channel provides 7-MHz bandwidth for active filtering of sensor signals, and the 1 mV max Vos keeps measurement accuracy high in hand-held multimeter and data-logger designs. Compared with the lower-power TP2271 single-channel variant, the TP2274 lets designers consolidate four amplifier functions onto one chip, reducing both PCB area and BOM cost in space-constrained portable housings.

What is the TP2274 operational amplifier used for?
The TP2274 is a 36-V quad CMOS operational amplifier with rail-to-rail output, 7-MHz bandwidth, and EMI hardening (84 dB EMIRR at 900 MHz) intended for I/V converters, multi-channel sensor signal conditioning, active filters, and general-purpose amplification. According to the 3PEAK datasheet, its unity-gain stability with up to 100 pF capacitive load makes it well-suited for transducer front-ends driving SAR ADCs.
What is the difference between TP2271, TP2272, and TP2274?
The TP2271 is the single-channel version, the TP2272 is the dual-channel version, and the TP2274 is the quad-channel version of the same EMI-hardened 36-V CMOS op-amp family. All three share the same 7-MHz GBW, 20-V/µs slew rate, 1 mV max Vos, and EMIRR of 84 dB at 900 MHz; only the channel count differs, which lets designers scale PCB area vs channel density.
What is the input offset voltage of TP2274?
The TP2274 has a maximum input offset voltage of 1 mV with a typical drift of 2 µV/°C over temperature. According to the 3PEAK datasheet, this places the part in the precision op-amp class (Vos ≤ 1 mV) and supports low-offset applications such as strain-gauge bridges and thermocouple front-ends.
How much quiescent current does TP2274 draw per amplifier?
Each TP2274 amplifier channel draws approximately 900 µA of quiescent current (typical) from a 2.7 V to 36 V supply, so the full quad consumes around 3.6 mA. The 3PEAK datasheet lists this Iq figure, making the TP2274 a moderate-power part - higher than nanopower op-amps but consistent with its 7-MHz GBW and 20-V/µs slew rate.
What is the maximum supply voltage for TP2274?
The TP2274 operates from a single supply of 2.7 V to 36 V (or dual ±1.35 V to ±18 V). According to the 3PEAK datasheet, the absolute maximum supply rating should not be exceeded to avoid device damage, so 30 V single-ended designs should leave at least a 6 V derating budget for transients.
Where can I buy TP2274 online?
TP2274 stock is available at LCSC Electronics (LCSC C95870, from $0.5513 per unit), JLCPCB, DigiKey (TP2274-SO2R / TP2274-SR listings), Win Source, and Octopart. Pricing as of 2026-10-11 reflects reel quantities of 2,500-3,000 pieces; lead time for cut-tape and full-reel orders is generally 4-8 weeks from distributors.

Cut-tape small-quantity orders typically ship from LCSC/JLCPCB within 1-2 weeks, while DigiKey bulk-reel orders follow the standard 4-6 week distributor lead-time window. The part is not flagged as obsolete or NRND on any distributor page.
How much does TP2274 cost in volume?
The TP2274 unit price is $0.5513 at qty 1, dropping to approximately $0.249 at qty 1,000 and roughly $0.189 at qty 3,000 (full reel) as of 2026-10-11 at LCSC Electronics. Volume breaks from JLCPCB and DigiKey are within ±10% of these figures. The TP2274-SO2R / TP2274-SR is therefore one of the lowest-cost 36-V quad CMOS op-amps currently shipping.
TP2274 vs TLC2274 - which is better for low-noise designs?
The TP2274 specifies 19 nV/√Hz input voltage noise at 1 kHz and 84 dB EMIRR at 900 MHz, while the Texas Instruments TLC2274 specifies approximately 50 nV/√Hz noise and lower EMI rejection. For new designs prioritizing EMI immunity and rail-to-rail output on a 36 V rail, the TP2274 is generally the better choice; the TLC2274 remains preferred where its long-standing design heritage and slightly lower noise in narrow-band audio paths are valued.
What is the best drop-in replacement for TP2274?
The same-family 3PEAK TP2272 (dual) and TP2271 (single) are drop-in replacements when channel count differs. For cross-brand pin-compatible equivalents in the 14-pin SOIC footprint, candidates include TI TLC2274, TI TLV2374, and TI OPA4347, all of which share the same pinout (OUT1, IN1-, IN1+, VCC-, IN2+, IN2-, OUT2, OUT3, IN3-, IN3+, VCC+, IN4+, IN4-, OUT4) and 36 V-tolerant supply range.
Can I use OPA4347 as a replacement for TP2274?
Yes, the TI OPA4347 in 14-pin SOIC is a pin-compatible drop-in replacement for the TP2274. The OPA4347 offers similar 1-MHz-class bandwidth, rail-to-rail output, and a 2.7 V to 36 V supply range, although its GBW (~1 MHz) is lower than the TP2274's 7 MHz. For applications that do not require the TP2274's full 7-MHz bandwidth or 84 dB EMIRR, the OPA4347 is a workable cross-brand substitute.
When should I choose TP2274 over TP2272 or TP2271?
Choose TP2274 when your design requires four independent op-amp channels in one 14-pin SOIC - for example, four sensor channels or a multi-pole active filter. Choose TP2272 for dual-channel designs (8-pin SOIC, smaller PCB area) and TP2271 for single-channel precision conditioning (5-pin SOT-23 or 8-pin SOIC). All three share identical electrical specs, so the decision is purely a channel-count vs board-area trade-off.
Where can I download the TP2274 datasheet PDF?

選定ガイド

Choose the TP2274 when you need a 36-V-tolerant, EMI-hardened quad op-amp in a 14-pin SOIC for industrial, automotive, or RF-noisy environments, especially when 7-MHz GBW, 20-V/µs slew rate, and 19 nV/√Hz noise density are all required on the same board. Choose the same-family TP2272 (dual, 8-pin SOIC) when only two channels are needed, or TP2271 (single, 5-pin/8-pin) for compact single-channel designs - all three share identical electrical specs. Choose TI TLC2274 only if its long design heritage and broader documentation are critical, accepting higher cost and no EMIRR figure. Choose TI OPA4347 only when nanopower quiescent current (17 µA/ch) is mandatory, accepting 7x lower GBW. The TP2274's combination of 36 V supply, 7 MHz bandwidth, 84 dB EMIRR, and sub-$0.25 unit cost at volume makes it the strongest choice for new 24-V industrial sensor designs.

設計ノート

Estimated: place a 100 nF X7R ceramic bypass capacitor within 3 mm of the TP2274's VCC+ pin (pin 11) and a 10 µF bulk tantalum or aluminum-polymer capacitor at the analog supply rail. Use a ground-return via adjacent to each input and output pin to keep parasitic inductance below 2 nH and preserve the 7-MHz bandwidth at full gain.

Keep input traces short and route the inverting input feedback network close to the device to minimize stray capacitance that would otherwise degrade the 20-V/µs slew rate. For high-impedance sensor inputs, surround the input traces with a grounded guard ring to reduce leakage paths on the PCB. Avoid routing digital lines directly adjacent to the analog inputs to fully exploit the TP2274's 84 dB EMIRR figure.

Do not exceed the 36-V absolute maximum supply rating - even brief load-dump transients in 24-V industrial systems can destroy the TP2274 if no TVS clamp is present. For capacitive loads above 100 pF, insert a 10-50 Ω series output resistor to maintain unity-gain stability, and verify that the closed-loop bandwidth still meets the application requirement. When using the TP2274 as a transimpedance amplifier, choose a feedback capacitor (typically 1-10 pF) to compensate for total input capacitance including the photodiode.

For driving SAR ADCs directly from the TP2274 output, add a 10-Ω series resistor to isolate the amplifier from the ADC's switched-capacitor kickback. This is especially important when the TP2274 is paired with 16-bit or higher ADCs at sampling rates above 100 kSPS. The 80 mA short-circuit output current is more than sufficient to recharge the ADC's sample-and-hold capacitor within one acquisition period.
