CapSense sensor layout is the single most common source of field failures. Keep sensor traces short (<50 mm) and surrounded by a hatched ground hatch (not solid) to balance sensitivity and noise immunity. Empty ground line must form a guard ring at least 2 mm from each sensor edge. Add series resistors on SWDIO/SWDCLK lines near the MCU to protect against programming ESD events.
