The Texas Instruments TUSB2E22 is a USB-compliant eUSB2-to-USB 2.0 dual repeater that enables implementation of USB 2.0 compliance ports on newer processors using lower voltage processes. It supports both device and host modes (DRD) and handles low-speed (LS), full-speed (FS), and high-speed (HS) signals. The device is available in two package options: a 25-pin DSBGA (2x2 mm) and a 20-pin VQFN-FCRLF (3.5x3.5 mm). An eUSB2 repeater is a signal conditioning IC that bridges the gap between low-voltage eUSB2 interfaces (1.2V signaling) on advanced SoCs and standard USB 2.0 ports (3.3V signaling). It regenerates and reshapes the USB signals to ensure compliance with USB 2.0 specifications, allowing modern processors with reduced I/O voltages to connect to legacy USB peripherals. This repeater sits in the signal chain between the SoC's eUSB2 port and the USB connector, providing level shifting and signal integrity enhancement.
