Design Notes
Ensure adequate decoupling on VDD1 and VDD2 with low-ESR ceramic capacitors placed close to the pins. A 10 uF capacitor in parallel with a 0.1 uF capacitor is recommended for each supply to handle transient currents during switching.
Minimize the loop area between the gate driver output and the IGBT gate to reduce parasitic inductance and improve switching performance. Use wide, short traces for the gate drive path and place the driver close to the IGBT.
The DESAT pin is sensitive to noise; route it away from high-current traces and add a small capacitor to filter noise. Ensure the blanking time is set correctly to avoid false fault triggering during normal switching.
Compliance Information
RoHS and REACH compliant per Analog Devices product page. AEC-Q100 not applicable for this non-automotive variant.
