The E-TDA7375AV can dissipate significant power when driving high output levels. For example, at 45W per channel into 4 ohms, the power dissipation can exceed 20W. The Multiwatt-15 package's metal tab must be soldered to a large copper area on the PCB to act as a heatsink. A thermal resistance of 2 C/W or lower is recommended for the heatsink to keep the junction temperature below 150C.
Place the power supply decoupling capacitors (100uF electrolytic and 100nF ceramic) as close as possible to the VCC pin. The input capacitors (0.1uF) should be placed near the input pins to filter high-frequency noise. Use a star-ground topology to minimize ground loops and reduce noise coupling between channels.
Do not operate the amplifier without a load connected, as this can cause output stage damage. Ensure the standby and mute pins are properly controlled to avoid pop noise during power-up. The SVR pin should be bypassed with a 10uF capacitor to improve ripple rejection and reduce turn-on transients.
