For optimal isolation performance, maintain at least 8mm creepage and clearance distances between the input and output sides on the PCB. Use a solid ground plane under each side, but do not connect the grounds together except through the isolator. Place 0.1µF decoupling capacitors close to VDD1 and VDD2 pins to filter high-frequency noise.
The ADUM1400ARWZ-RL7 requires both VDD1 and VDD2 to be powered. Ensure each supply is within 2.7V to 5.5V. The device consumes low power, but decoupling is essential to maintain signal integrity. Use a 10µF bulk capacitor in addition to 0.1µF ceramic on each supply rail if the power source is far from the device.
