Place a 100nF ceramic capacitor close to each VS pin and a 10uF electrolytic capacitor at the power input. Keep the SPI lines short and route them away from high-current traces to avoid noise. Use a ground plane to minimize EMI.
Do not exceed the absolute maximum supply voltage of 40V. Ensure the SPI lines are properly terminated to avoid ringing. When driving inductive loads, add freewheeling diodes across the motor terminals to protect the H-bridge from back-EMF.
