STM32H750ZBT6 Ringkasan

The STMicroelectronics STM32H750ZBT6 is a high-performance 32-bit ARM Cortex-M7 microcontroller operating at up to 480 MHz, packaged in a 144-pin LQFP (20x20 mm). It integrates 128 KB of Flash, 1 MB of RAM, hardware crypto, JPEG codec, and an external memory interface. The device targets demanding embedded applications that require strong DSP, floating-point, and graphics performance without an external memory bus complexity penalty.

A microcontroller (MCU) is an integrated circuit that combines a processor core, memory, and programmable peripherals on a single die. ARM Cortex-M7 cores add a six-stage superscalar pipeline, single-precision and double-precision floating-point unit (FPU), and tightly-coupled memory (TCM) for deterministic real-time response. The STM32H7 family sits at the high-performance tier of the STM32 portfolio, above Cortex-M4 parts (STM32F4) and below Cortex-A application processors. The H750 specifically trims Flash to 128 KB while retaining 1 MB SRAM, making it well-suited for code execution from external QSPI memory while keeping on-chip RAM for buffers and frame data.

Key features of the STM32H750ZBT6 include 480 MHz CPU clock, 1 MB SRAM, Chrom-ART graphics accelerator, hardware AES-256 / SHA-256 / TRNG, two SDMMC interfaces, an 8- to 14-bit camera interface, and up to 16-bit external memory bus for SRAM, PSRAM, NOR, NAND, and SDRAM. The LQFP-144 package exposes 114 GPIO across multiple 5V-tolerant banks and offers 16-bit ADC, comparators, op-amps, and 12-bit DAC peripherals.

The device is built on a 40 nm low-power CMOS process and supports four low-power modes (Sleep, Stop, Standby, VBAT) with RTC and backup registers retained in Standby. CoreMark performance reaches 1023 CoreMark at 480 MHz / 4.08 CoreMark/MHz. The dual-domain supply (Vcore plus VDD/VDDA) requires careful decoupling but enables dynamic voltage scaling to trade frequency for power consumption.

Typical applications include industrial motor control, human-machine interface (HMI) panels with TFT-LCD, audio processing with USB streaming, secure IoT gateways, drone flight controllers, and portable medical instrumentation. The 1 MB on-chip RAM is enough to run LVGL graphical stacks and audio buffers without external PSRAM, simplifying board layout.

When designing with this part, allocate a 4.7 µF bulk capacitor plus 100 nF decoupling per supply pin, follow ST's AN4661 PCB layout guide for high-speed signals, and reserve QSPI traces for short length-matched routing. The 128 KB internal Flash is often not enough for production firmware; use the Quad-SPI interface to boot XIP from an external Flash and treat internal Flash as a backup/bootloader region.

Aplikasi Biasa

STM32H750ZBT6 patut untuk 6 aplikasis: Industrial Motor Control (FOC / PFC), HMI / TFT-LCD Control Panels, Audio Processing / USB Streaming, Secure IoT Gateways / Edge Nodes, Drone Flight Controllers, Portable Medical Instrumentation.

🏭

Industrial Motor Control (FOC / PFC)

The STM32H750ZBT6 is a strong fit for industrial motor control because its 480 MHz Cortex-M7 with DSP instructions, three 16-bit ADCs at 3.6 MSPS, and advanced timer units (HRTIM, TIM1/TIM8) can execute field-oriented control and power-factor-correction loops within single-digit microsecond periods. The Chrom-ART accelerator is unused here, but the FPU accelerates Park/Clarke transforms and PI loops. Designers should consider the 128 KB internal Flash limit: production motor-control firmware often exceeds this size, so boot from external Quad-SPI Flash via XIP. The 144-LQFP industrial temperature range -40 °C to +85 °C supports factory-floor deployment. Companion parts: STGAP1AS gate driver, ACS712 current sensor, L6234 motor driver.

📺

HMI / TFT-LCD Control Panels

For HMI applications driving a TFT-LCD panel with touch, the STM32H750ZBT6's Chrom-ART graphics accelerator and 1 MB SRAM enable 800x480 or smaller RGB displays with smooth GUI updates. The LTDC controller supports up to 1024x768 resolution in single-layer mode. The 1 MB internal RAM is enough for a double framebuffer plus LVGL heap without external PSRAM, which lowers BOM cost. Internal 128 KB Flash is insufficient for large UI assets, so designers typically boot from QSPI Flash and stream images on demand. The 144-LQFP package gives enough pins for parallel RGB and touch I2C. Companion parts: FT6336U touch controller, ILI9488 TFT driver, W25Q64JVSSIQ QSPI Flash.

🎧

Audio Processing / USB Streaming

Audio applications such as USB audio interfaces, guitar effect pedals, and intercom systems benefit from the STM32H750ZBT6's DSP extensions and double-precision FPU. The 1 MB SRAM can host a 16-second 48 kHz/24-bit circular buffer, and the SAI/I2S peripherals support sample rates up to 192 kHz. The USB OTG FS/HS block enables USB Audio Class 2.0 streaming at 480 Mbps. Hardware AES-256 also helps in audio encryption scenarios. The 144-LQFP industrial temperature range supports in-car audio use. The internal Flash limit again points designers to QSPI XIP for larger preset libraries. Companion parts: PCM5102APWR DAC, PCM1808PWR ADC, MAX98357AETE+T class-D amplifier.

🌐

Secure IoT Gateways / Edge Nodes

The STM32H750ZBT6 suits secure IoT edge gateways because of its integrated hardware AES-256, SHA-256, and true random number generator, which accelerate TLS handshake, secure boot, and over-the-air firmware update. The 480 MHz Cortex-M7 can run mbedTLS, LwIP, and an MQTT-SN stack concurrently. The 1 MB SRAM supports TLS session keys and an HTTP/2 frame buffer. The FMC interface can interface to external SDRAM for larger packet buffers, and two SDMMC blocks support Wi-Fi/BLE module cards. Companion parts: W5100 Ethernet controller, SN65HVD3082EDR RS-485, ATECC608B secure element.

✈️

Drone Flight Controllers

Drone flight controllers demand 1 kHz control loops with deterministic latency; the STM32H750ZBT6's 480 MHz core, tightly-coupled memory, and advanced timers meet this requirement when interrupt handlers are placed in ITCM. The Cortex-M7 DSP block accelerates IMU sensor fusion (Madgwick / Mahony filters). Three 16-bit ADCs sample battery current, ESC telemetry, and analog sensors concurrently. The hardware crypto block is useful for command-link authentication. The 128 KB internal Flash is enough for flight-control firmware; external Flash is reserved for logs and parameter storage. The 144-LQFP package offers enough pins for SPI-bus ESCs and UART GPS modules. Companion parts: MPU-6000 IMU, NEO-M8N GPS, MAX1480BEPI+ RS-422 link.

💊

Portable Medical Instrumentation

Portable medical devices such as pulse oximeters, handheld ECGs, and point-of-care diagnostic readers benefit from the STM32H750ZBT6's DSP, large 1 MB SRAM for sample buffers, and 16-bit ADC precision. The Chrom-ART accelerator can drive a small color TFT for patient readouts without external GPU. The hardware AES-256 supports HIPAA-compliant data encryption. The 144-LQFP industrial -40 °C to +85 °C temperature range covers clinical environments. The 128 KB internal Flash is generally adequate for medical firmware with simple UI, and OTA updates can use external QSPI. Companion parts: ADS1292R ECG AFE, MAX30102 SpO2 sensor, ADG714BRUZ analog mux.

What package does STM32H750ZBT6 come in?
The STM32H750ZBT6 is supplied in a 144-pin LQFP (Low-profile Quad Flat Pack) measuring 20x20 mm with 0.5 mm pitch. This is the largest LQFP in the STM32H7 family and exposes the full external memory bus plus all 114 GPIO. The variant suffix ZB denotes the 144-LQFP package, and T6 indicates the -40 °C to +85 °C industrial temperature grade tape-and-reel packaging.
What is the difference between STM32H750ZBT6 and STM32H753ZIT6?
The STM32H750ZBT6 has 128 KB Flash and 1 MB RAM in a 144-LQFP package, while the STM32H753ZIT6 has 2 MB Flash and 1 MB RAM in a 176-LQFP package. They share the same Cortex-M7 core at 480 MHz. The H750 is the cost-down version with smaller Flash and smaller package, intended for designs that boot from external QSPI. The H753 is a drop-in for designs that need the full 2 MB on-chip and a 176-pin bus for additional GPIO.
Can STM32H750ZBT6 be replaced by STM32F407ZGT6TR?
Yes, the STM32F407ZGT6TR in 144-LQFP is a functional drop-in for many designs that do not need 480 MHz performance. According to the ST datasheets, the F407 runs at 168 MHz with 1 MB Flash and 192 KB RAM, while the H750 runs at 480 MHz with 128 KB Flash and 1 MB RAM. Both parts have 144-LQFP package options. The H750 has 1 MB SRAM vs 192 KB on the F407, which is critical for TFT-LCD framebuffers. The F407 retains an advantage in internal Flash (1 MB vs 128 KB) and software maturity for legacy projects.
When should I choose STM32H750ZBT6 over STM32H753ZIT6?
Choose the STM32H750ZBT6 when your design boots from external QSPI Flash and does not need 2 MB on-chip Flash or 176 pins. The H750 saves cost and PCB area versus the H753. Choose the STM32H753ZIT6 when you need the full 2 MB Flash, an SDRAM interface with 176 pins, or higher GPIO count. Both share the same 480 MHz Cortex-M7 core and most peripheral set, making the choice primarily about Flash size and pin count.
Does STM32H750ZBT6 have hardware encryption?
The STM32H750ZBT6 includes a hardware crypto accelerator supporting AES-128, AES-192, AES-256 in ECB/CBC/CTR/GCM/CCM modes, plus SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, and a true random number generator (TRNG). This offloads cryptographic primitives from the CPU and is critical for secure-boot and TLS applications. The same set is also available on the STM32H753. ST's SBSFU secure-boot framework references this crypto block directly.
What are the key specifications of STM32H750ZBT6 that engineers should know?

Where can I find the pinout for STM32H750ZBT6?
The STM32H750ZBT6 pinout is documented in the STMicroelectronics datasheet DS13130 section 4 and visualized in STM32CubeMX / STM32CubeIDE pinout views. The 144-LQFP package has 114 GPIO distributed across multiple banks: PA, PB, PC, PD, PE, PF, PG, PH, PI, PJ. Each pin is multi-function; selecting a peripheral function remaps the pin via GPIO alternate-function registers. CubeMX generates initialization code with the chosen pin assignments.
What is the best cross-brand equivalent for STM32H750ZBT6?
There is no true cross-brand drop-in replacement for the STM32H750ZBT6 because the pinout, FMC mapping, and STM32 peripheral set are unique to ST. The closest cross-brand equivalent in performance tier is the NXP iMX RT1064 (Cortex-M7 at 600 MHz) but it uses a different BGA package and is not pin-compatible. Designers cross-shopping on performance should evaluate iMX RT1064 as a new design; designers who need same-footprint must use the same-brand H753 or F407 options.

Panduan Pilihan

Choose the STM32H750ZBT6 when you need the highest CPU performance in a 144-LQFP industrial package, are willing to boot from external QSPI Flash, and benefit from hardware AES-256 and Chrom-ART. Choose the STM32H753ZIT6 instead when 2 MB internal Flash and 176 pins are mandatory, or the H743ZIT6 for the same footprint with a different feature mix. Choose the STM32F407ZGT6TR when 168 MHz is sufficient, you need 1 MB on-chip Flash, and want to minimize BOM cost - this is the most common 'safe' choice for new industrial designs. The F429VGT6 is a hybrid option with Chrom-ART and TFT LTDC but at 180 MHz. Note: there is no true cross-brand pin-compatible equivalent; if the 144-LQFP footprint is fixed, all viable alternatives come from ST's own H7 and F4 families.

Catatan Desain

The STM32H750ZBT6 requires a multi-rail supply: VDD/VDDA at 1.62-3.6 V plus an internal Vcore regulator (set by VCAP pins) that needs a 2.2 µF + 100 nF cap pair on each VCAP pin. ST's AN4661 and the H7 reference manual RM0433 mandate four bulk 4.7 µF caps near the VDD pins and 100 nF per-pin ceramic decoupling. Failure to follow this decoupling plan results in brownout resets under high CPU load. Estimated: total decoupling budget is approximately 8 x 100 nF + 4 x 4.7 µF + 2 x 2.2 µF for proper operation.

Place a 4-layer PCB with continuous ground plane under the LQFP-144 footprint; high-speed signals like SDRAM clock, USB D+/D-, and SDMMC lines need 50 Ω controlled impedance and length matching within ±150 mil. Reference ST's AN4661 (STM32H7 PCB layout guide) for the recommended stackup and via stitching pattern. Keep the HSE crystal traces short and surrounded by ground guard ring to minimize jitter; long crystal traces can cause UART baud-rate errors and USB SOF jitter.

Do not rely on the 128 KB internal Flash for production firmware - most applications exceed this. Use the Quad-SPI interface in XIP mode to boot from an external W25Q Flash and reserve internal Flash for the bootloader. The H750 will not run the same firmware as the H753 without recompilation because Flash memory map differs. Also note: the H750 does not include the DSI Host controller, so MIPI-DSI displays are not supported - use LTDC + RGB for TFT panels.

The SDRAM interface (FMC) operates at up to 100 MHz; route address/command lines on inner layers with ground reference, and match clock-to-DQS skew within 50 ps. Use series 33 Ω resistors on SDRAM clock for source termination. The USB HS PHY pins (DP/DM) require 90 Ω differential impedance and a 5 V short-proof protection circuit (USBLC6-2SC6). Failing to meet USB-IF impedance compliance can cause enumeration failures and re-plug events.
