Key Differentiators
- Higher sampling rate than AD4003 (vs AD4003BRUZ)
- Higher resolution than AD4000 (vs AD4000BRUZ)
- Better SNR than AD7091R-5 (vs AD7091R-5BRUZ)
Design Notes
Decouple the VDD and VIO pins with 0.1 µF and 10 µF capacitors placed as close to the pins as possible. The reference input (REF) should be decoupled with a 10 µF capacitor to ensure a low-impedance path. Use separate analog and digital ground planes to minimize noise coupling.
Route the differential input traces (IN+ and IN-) as a closely coupled pair to minimize loop area and reduce susceptibility to external noise. Keep the traces short and avoid crossing digital signal lines. Use a ground plane beneath the ADC to provide a low-impedance return path.
Ensure the reference voltage is stable and within the specified range (typically 2.4V to 5V). An unstable reference will directly degrade the ADC's accuracy. Also, avoid driving the analog inputs beyond the supply rails, as this can cause latch-up or damage.
